We are looking for a new team member!
The SafeEx Product Vision team is, among other things, responsible for designing and maintaining a coherent, user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing interface for SafeEx Cloud.
As we expand and further develop our brand new product, we’re looking for a dedicated UI Designer to join our team in Aalborg.
Your responsibilities
As our dedicated UI Designer, you will assist in the planning of new additions and revisions to the established user interface, You’ll take the lead in creating clean, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces that our users will appreciate and understand.
We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid of slightly unconventional designs, as we’re building interfaces for a complex CMMS system (both mobile and desktop) and not just your run-of-the-mill webshop. We have some rather unusual constraints and competing requirements which makes for interesting challenges.
- Here are some examples of your tasks:
- Develop and maintain UI designs and design strategies
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Conduct user research and usability testing
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design implementation fidelity
- Generate new ideas!
The required skills
- UI/UX Design: Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in UI/UX design
- Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma or similar tools
- Fundamentals: Understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility
- Collaboration: Experience working closely with development teams
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design or a relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Interaction Design, Graphic Design)
- Communication: Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
How we imagine you
We’re picturing someone who’s genuinely curious and always ready to lend a hand. You’re the kind of person who gets that asking the right questions – and knowing when you don’t have enough info – is just as important as having all the answers. You dig collaboration, but you’re also cool with figuring things out on your own. You’re not looking for someone to hold your hand every step of the way; you’re ready to jump in and contribute to the game.
You’re confident and not afraid to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. You’re also not one to back down from a challenge – we all know leveling up is where the real fun’s at, right? You’re adaptable, resourceful, and you know how to make things work – just like in any good game (or, you know, life).
What we offer
- Even though we love what we do, most of us do in fact have a social life as well, which is why we like the flexibility of working from home some days a week.
- You can’t know it all, but you can always learn more, which we will support - perhaps a conference or a self-paced course in something useful?
- Nope, we usually do not wear ties and polished shoes to the office.
- As one of our colleagues once famously said, it’s not just about the pay, it’s also about the salary - the negotiated compensation will reflect qualifications and experience.
- Some prefer a retirement plan, while others do their own thing, in either case; it is an option and it comes with health insurance and dental insurance should you take it.
- Lunch is served at the canteen daily with rather delicious dishes, including options for special diets.
- There is also the occasional Friday bar when we are up for a bit of fun.
- At least twice a year, we host a company-wide social event, which can be anything from dinner at a nice restaurant, to gokarting, kayaking or climbing in the tree tops.
When: Soonest possible, but your profile is more important than the exact date.
Where: At our main office in Aalborg, Denmark.
Who: Your manager will be our Solution Architect, Jacob Pedersen.
